With heavy hearts, the family of James “Jim” Edward Pfile announce his passing on December 15, 2022. James was born in Ohio to his late parents Donald and Betty Pfile. His family moved to Phoenix at a young age, were he met his beloved wife of 38 years, Michelle. James and Michelle’s story began as a “boy across the street” love story. James would affectionately call her his “Desert Rose”. James was a loving family man, avid outdoorsman, and dedicated business leader with his wife, Michelle. James and Michelle loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing, ATV riding and traveling. James and Michelle raised two capable men, Derik and Forrest Pfile. James taught his sons all his knowledge and wisdom for their outdoor adventures, and his unparalleled skills for their family-owned wood floor business. James and Michelle founded Wildwood Floors 33 years ago, and later continued the business with their two sons. Derik and Forrest were their greatest achievements as models of both James and Michelle’s most endearing qualities. James is preceded in death by his beloved youngest son, Forrest Christian Pfile. He is survived by his wife, Monica Michelle Pfile, and his eldest son, Michael John Derik Pfile. He is survived by many family members, including his brother John (Deborah) Pfile, mother and father in-law Irene and Ramon Figueroa, sister-in-law Regina (Eric) Shepard, sister-in-law Lisa Brandemihl, and brother-in-law Raymond (Lisa) Figueroa. James was lovingly known as “Uncle Jim” to many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 23rd, from 5:00PM – 8:00PM, with a funeral service held at 6:00PM at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018.
