Teresa (Terri) had a beautiful soul right to the very end of her life. She cared deeply about others and showed that in her nursing, her Girl Scouting throughout her life, in her marriage and in her motherhood. Her love of life and zest for joyous living showed even through her illness. When she began to lose her hair, she shaved the rest off and she and her daughter tossed it into the Austin winds and made it into a special day. Her husband, her daughter and her large, close knit family were with her to the very end. I was blessed to be in the extended circle that prayed for her, upon her request, to the very end and into her new life. I carry her memory with me daily.
Terri Burke was my dearest friend during my brief stay at Camelback. She was a caring spirit-filled person that I have continued to carry in my heart for all these years. Her passing weighs heavy on me. May God bless her family.
