I remember Bucky well. He joined our 8th grade class when he moved up from 7th. I remember Mr. Scott asking me to help welcome him to our class. He was such a funny guy with a wonderful laugh and smart too. I will miss him. It was my privilege to know him.
Buck and i used to drive his old WWII power wagon, those old gear jammin' long trucks you see in MASH, picking up kids going to and from school. I have't been involved with reunions or this site until recently, and am saddened to see he's no longer with us. I am grieving not finding him now. He was brilliant, very funny, and had a heart of gold along with his ability to deal creatively with his share of struggles. I would be very interested if anyone knows about his life after his service time, which was about when i lost track.
