Steven Coultrap

Steven R. Coultrap, Devoted husband, father, son, brother, businessman, and friend, began life with Jesus in heaven early Tuesday, May 25, 2004. Steve devoted his adult life to serving and providing for his wife of three decades, and for his two children. He participated in numerous local businesses related to the polyurethane foam and architectural manufacturing industries. Many commercial buildings, apartment communities, and homes constructed in Arizona, California, Nevada and abroad are adorned with products manufactured by Steve's businesses. His pursuits touched many lives and supported hundreds of families in addition to his own. He was an active supporter of the Back-To-School Clothing Drive Association that provides clothing and supplies to hundreds of children from our community each year. And, he was a regular attendee and supporter of the Corpus Christi congregation in Ahwatukee. Steve was raised, the third of seven children, in an entrepreneurial family that originated from Pennsylvania and settled in Phoenix in 1971 to begin several ventures that today are successful contributors to local industry. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America and this typified the dedication, work ethic, and virtues that guided Steve's life. He was known by many as a tenacious worker and strong-willed individual that would never give up. He became an expert in every pursuit. He believed in honor, trust, truthfulness and loyalty. He loved people and dedicated himself to many without thought of personal gain. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Steven R. Coultrap at Corpus Christi (3550 E. Knox Road in Ahwatukee-Phoenix) on Friday, May 28, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. A reception will follow. All family, friends, and associates are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, please direct contributions in Steve's honor to the Back-To-School Clothing Drive Association, P.O. Box 99, Glendale, AZ 85311-0099. They can be contacted by telephone at 623.842.1727.
